The new ultra-compact (9cm cube) Radius 45 has been designed as an unobtrusive satellite speaker for multi-channel A/V systems. When combined with the compact Radius 360 subwoofer and front-channel satellites, the Radius 45 will complete an extremely discreet system that can be wall or stand mounted to blend with any environment.
The Radius 45’s rear-firing 20mm gold C-CAM® tweeter is able to spread the sound around the room to create an encompassing surround channel effect. The tweeter is |
 |
|
complemented by a forward-firing 3” MMP® II driver in a sealed-cabinet system with a frequency range of 120Hz-22kHz and power handling of 50 watts.
Available in the Radius range finishes: Video Silver, Rosemah veneers and black and white lacquer, together with a choice of grille colours, the diminutive Radius 45 is an easy décor match and easy to install by virtue of a high-quality pivoting die-cast metal wall bracket and stand-mounting options.
Its real wood veneer and lacquer finishes are crafted to the same exacting standards as Monitor Audio’s reference speaker systems and provide a quality that is at home anywhere, in stark contrast to the hard, cold metal appearance of many A/V speaker packages available.

Radius 90 is a radical departure from most satellite speakers inasmuch as it doesn't look radical. It's a high-class mini monitor, only smaller. In stark contrast to the hard, cold metal appearance of most A/V speaker packages, it has the same sumptuous real wood veneer and lacquer finishes that grace Monitor Audio's reference speakers. The same engineering standards and attention to detail, too, right down to the radiussed corners of the cabinet and high-quality, gold-plated cable terminals.
The R90 is also one of the most remarkable. Its clarity, dynamics and imaging abilities have to be heard to be believed. It can fill a room with high fidelity sound yet, visually, melt into the background. |
|
It was with this in mind that Monitor Audio designed the high quality die-cast metal wall bracket supplied with each speaker. This has a very shallow profile and holds the R90 close to the wall, but its wide range of movement allows it to be easily directed towards the listening area.

 |
Unique drivers designed and tooled for Radius. The new cast bass-mid chassis is made from high-tech glass loaded engineering polymer that provides better damping than metal and increased overall strength. |

The slightly larger Radius 180 has been designed to be sited vertically or horizontally. Its versatility means it can be used as a centre channel in a multi-channel music or movie system as well as a main, side or rear speaker. And just 95mm deep, it's ideal for use with a Plasma screen or in places where space is at a premium. As with all Radius components, the R180 can be purchased individually for maximum flexibility when system building.
Radius 180 has the same specially designed MMP® II bass-mid driver and Gold Dome C- |

CAM® tweeter as the 90 but these are housed in a larger cabinet with a front-firing reflex port. Its enhanced bass performance makes it an even more suitable choice as a stand alone speaker where a subwoofer isn't required. But combined with the Radius 360 sub, the R180 forms part of a formidably powerful stereo or multi-channel system.
As with the R90, the R180 is supplied with a high quality die-cast metal wall bracket and both black and silver grilles. The real wood veneer and lacquer finishes add to the aesthetic and tactile appeal and are crafted to the same exacting standards as Monitor Audios reference speaker systems.

By any standards, the Radius 360 is a remarkable product. This super-compact subwoofer has the speed, subtlety and pitch accuracy to enhance the highest quality music reproduction. It can also deliver the power and slam demanded by movie soundtracks by virtue of its downward-firing 8-inch driver, controlled by a powerful built-in 100 watt amplifier.
The R360's weight and solidity belie its svelte dimensions, which are so vanishingly compact that the R360 can remain unobtrusive wherever you place it. |

With the latest addition to the expanding Radius family, Monitor Audio demonstrates once again that you don’t need large, intrusive loudspeakers to bring true hi-fi performance to music and film. By any standards, the Radius 720 subwoofer is a remarkable design, which proves that diminutive dimensions and dynamite performance are not mutually exclusive.
An evolution of the super-compact R360 subwoofer, it possesses the speed, subtlety and accuracy to enhance the highest quality music reproduction but delivers the power and slam demanded by movie soundtracks with an ease and authority unprecedented for its size.
|
|
The R720’s twin downward-firing 8-inch treated paper cone drivers are mounted within a ported enclosure and controlled by a powerful built-in 250 watt amplifier. Its versatile control settings make it the perfect partner for all Radius loudspeakers and ensure compatibility with most other speaker packages. Crossover control range is 40Hz -180Hz.
Speaker level connections achieve optimum performance in a stereo audio system or in the absence of RCA outputs on the amplifier. RCA stereo inputs and an LFE input are provided for connection to a two-channel amplifier or multi-channel home cinema receiver. An auto function switches the R720 on when an input signal is detected. And switches it off after approximately 15 minutes if no input signal is detected. As with all Radius products, build quality and finish are of the highest order. The R720’s cabinet is constructed from heavy duty MDF throughout, lending a weight and solidity that belie its svelte dimensions. The real wood veneer, satin and lacquer finishes, aluminium back plate and smooth-acting, rubberised controls are all part of the quality-led approach that sets Radius apart. |
