In terms of technology, a specially designed drive concept was developed for the sensitive laser pick-up of the mbl 1521 A to provide it with effective protection against possible vibrations and housing resonance. A massive brass block with floating 3-point suspension forms the foundation for the drive unit. Once the CD has been inserted, the drive chamber is closed with a massive 10-mm thick full-metal lid, creating a room of absolute peace and quiet. Neither vibrations nor sound impulses are able to interfere with the work of the laser pick-up or the CD. In addition, heavy insulating mats prevent any vibration in the housing that could have a negative effect on the sound experience. The three-beam laser scans the CD with the highest possible precision. Even the finest subtleties are read error-free and are delivered to the three outputs in excellent quality for further processing.
